Nokkelost, spice cheese from Norway  - 

This spice cheese from Tine of Norway contains caraway seed, cumin and cloves.  Availability is limited. We will advise you if we are out of stock when you place your order. Packages vary in size but are generally in the 14-18 oz. range.  Price shown is the per pound price.  Price for package(s) shipped is determined when order is filled. This is our most popular cheese item.

When we are out of stock, which unfortunately is more freqently than not, we suggest you try Leyden cheese.

Ekte Gjetost, authentic goat cheese, from Tine of Norway.
In a blue and brown wrapper, this carmelized goat cheese in a 1/2 kilogram, 1.1 lb., package. It has a slight peanut butter, caramel flavor.  It is the favoirte of many Scandinavians and is typically eaten is thin shaved pieces of hard flatbread.

This flavorful spiced Dutch cheese, similar to Norwegian Nokkelost, comtains cumin and caraway.  Wonderful with sliced apples or pears! Try it to make a cheese omelette. Great substitute for Nokkelost; in fact Cass, our 2nd generation Norwegian likes it more than she likes Nokkelost!
