Konge Tinn Norwegian pewter cheese plane.
In Viking days pewter was more precious than gold. The kings used pewter (konge tinn) utensils while the servants used gold utensils! The cheese plane was "invented" by a Norwegian carpenter who tired of using his wood plane to shave a slice of cheese, usually gjectost (carmelized goat cheese), fashioned a plane just for this purpose.
